In addition to this website, I am presently working on a handful of website and web application projects that I hope to post here soon. I have a keen eye for modern design, a strong sense of communication, and a passion for Front-End and UI. I try to approach web projects (and most things, really) with a balance between creativity and pragmatism. I believe this approach benefits both myself and my clients. I also have a distinct passion for Web Audio. I enjoy exploring digital audio synthesis, music creation, and MIDI, and the web is a great medium for such exploration. Some of the coding languages and platforms I know include: Python, C/C++, HTML/CSS, Javascript / JSX, React, GitHub, Max/MSP + Pure Data.

Fractal Music

Fractal Music is the latest iteration of a concept that I have had for many years. The basic idea is to sequence multiple tracks of music using a single fractal number sequence as the base pattern, changing the sequence for each track slightly (making it half speed, or transposing the notes, for example) in order to create a full-sounding musical orchestration that unfolds programatically. The concept is a form of algorithmic music, involving translation (numbers to notes), transposition, and temporal augmentation. I find the reults remarkable. The music that is generated seems to reflect the aesthetic qualities of the input sequence; random numbers create (mostly) jumbled, incoherent music, and fractal sequences create pleasing, musical outputs that tumble and flow endlessly, just like fractals.
